||SQL Server Tips by Gama and Naughter
Express Manager is a new tool being developed by Microsoft as a
simplified GUI administration tool for SQL Server 2005 Express
Edition. It will also run equally well against other versions of SQL
Server 2005. It runs queries against a SQL Server database, similar
to the standard Query Analyzer tool provided with SQL Server 2000.
Due to the parallel development of Visual Studio 2005 and SQL
Server, some versions of the .NET CLR, SQL Server 2005 and Express
Manager (XM) are not compatible. The following versions are
compatible and were used for our testing:
* .NET CLR v2.0.40903.27
* SQL Server 2005 Express Edition v9.0.981
* Express Manager v9.0.981
